Northern Ireland Allotment and Community Garden Forum 2020 (Derry/Londonderry)

The Northern Ireland Allotment and Community Garden Forum 2020 will include a demonstration of building a budget geodeisic dome, a talk about community food growing and climate change from Zero Waste NW, a performance from the Climate Clamour Choir, and a tour of the newly created forest garden at the Playtrail.

Locally sourced healthy lunch will be provided, and there will be a social in town in the evening.


Leaflet Making Workshop (Ratfriland, N. Ireland)

In this two-hour workshop you will learn to use the free online software Canva to design a promotional leaflet for your project. 
Bring along some photos of your project, a programme of events for 2020, a description of the garden and contact details, and by the end of the evening each group will have a print ready double sided A5 leaflet.
We will send your design for print and you will receive 200 leaflets to distribute to your community!

Come and join us in celebrating our 40th birthday!

Meet other community growers and hear about their projects, get advice on your own project, have a delicious local lunch, a walk and talk around the Woodland Skills Centre and enjoy a practical activity – make a mini meadow or plant some trees.

An opportunity for anyone managing an SF&G member organisation growing, garden or farm site to have any insurance worries answered by our partner McClarrons, followed by a session looking at managing risk within your setting.

Growing Care Farming Project: Care Farming Awareness Day (Thirsk, N.Yorkshire)

Are you interested in referring users to care farms or commissioning care farm services? Are you interested in starting to deliver care farming services yourself? If the answer to either of those questions is 'Yes' then this event is for you.

This Care Farming Awareness Day is aimed at both referrers/commissioners of services and also prospective care farmers.
