Blackhill's Growing started in autumn 2015 and now includes 3 polytunnels, a community orchard, hens and bees. We run regular growing sessions in our community garden for people of all ages, as well as weekly make your own pizza evenings using our wood-fired pizza oven. Details of livestock and rare breeds kept:
We have a small flock of 10 chickens and a swam of bees.
We are easily accessible via the 19A First Bus from Glasgow City Centre.
We are also close to the exit for the A80 on the M8 East from Glasgow City Centre.
What events and activities do you have planned for the day?
We will be running tours of the garden, as well as giving volunteers the chance to get stuck in and pick up some free strawberry plants (donations encouraged)
Will you be open on the day?
No but we will be open on the Sunday (6th June) from 11am - 3pm
