A new 10-year meanwhile site on a property development site, expected to take 25-years development in North London. It is unusual in that it is being started alongside the commencement of the property development, rather than after it has concluded, to give the community a new green space to create and enjoy while the building work is undertaken. It is to be co-designed and developed with the local community. At present it is a fairly small site, but new plots will be released to us as the properties being built in our phase are completed. It will be primarily used for food growing. We have an office, classroom/community room and toilets and a recently installed polytunnel. We currently have 2 part-time members of staff. The garden will be open 3 days-a-week, providing food growing gardening volunteer sessions, under-5's Nature Explorer club and, in time, host school, community, family workshops and corporate groups and have a community room for hire. As we grow and employ more staff, we will be able to extend our opening hours and provide a wider offering. The project just opened in November 2022.
