We have a small flower garden in Biggleswade town centre and have regular volunteer sessions open to all in the community including anyone referred via social prescribing. We are exploring other central sites to have a bigger site to grow fruit and veg for the community and the food banks in our town. We are making links with schools, older people’s services and several community groups to raise awareness of growing your own, Helping the environment and ending food poverty. We organise plant and seed swaps for free as well as our volunteer sessions and have several events coming up in the future, and invite volunteers and any support to help us secure a new site.
