BRIC delivers a range of initiatives that build the resilience, health, and happiness of children and their families across Lincolnshire. Our biggest project is Happier Families, providing one to one and sessional based support through our volunteer and staff teams, either remotely, in families homes or community bases. This aims to support children and their families to increase their confidence, secure the skills needed to navigate everyday family life and the challenges that it brings and be connected with social and support services within their communities.
Supporting Happier Families are our community gardens are based around the county and ranging in size and activity, delivering the Kid’s Patch project as well as partnership initiatives. Kid’s Patch is BRIC’s family gardening project that supports children and their families to understand where food comes from, learning how to grow fresh fruit and vegetables and prepare nutritious family meals. The project supports positive mental health, getting children and their families outdoors, enjoying time together and connecting them with their local community. BRIC Outdoors is our overarching project which will encourage children to get outside, reconnect with nature and build connections and resilience.
