The Rasen Area Environment Group was formed to increase sustainability in the area. The Community Garden is approaching its 2nd growing season. We have no-dig beds, soft fruit bushes, and a polytunnel.
It was set up to provide a place where people can work together to produce organic food, make friends, get exercise, nurture mental health, and introduce their children to growing their own food. Everyone who helps shares in the harvest. The ethos is : - fresh veg, fruit, fun & fresh air.
We have recently received funding for a Community Orchard on 2 sites in town, which will follow later this year.
