Greatwood's vision is that every former racehorse is supported, respected and valued and every learner has the opportunity to flourish and thrive.
Animal assisted intervention allows Greatwood to change lives and create fulfilling futures for children, young people, adults and former racehorses in need. It challenges perceptions of success and failure, in a secure and nurturing environment; caring, rehabilitating and rehoming vulnerable former racehorses on a farm in Wiltshire.
Education programmes are run on the farm for children, young people and adults who may experience mental, emotional or social challenges, learning or educational difficulties, or physical disabilities.
The parallel aims are interlinked and complimentary to each other, encompassing both horses and humans.
