MHA Communities South London is a local scheme run under the oversight of MHA, the UK’s largest charity care provider, but managed locally on a day to day basis. We aim to achieve a reduction in loneliness and isolation amongst vulnerable older people aged 55+ living independently in South London, enabling them to live later life well and remain active participants within their own local cherished community. MHA Communities South London is based at the Wilderness garden in Shirley, Croydon where we deliver nature-based activities like Gardening for Wellbeing; Re-growing food from scrap; Dementia friendly walking groups; Wellbeing and mindfulness walk; nature art & craft.
