Recently formed organisation.
AIMS
To build community resilience, address and prepare for emergencies and challenges including the climate crisis and the exit from fossil fuels.
Objectives:
- Build food security by local food production and skills eg community veg gardens or allotments, community farms.
- Share and develop information and skills, map assets.
- Plant trees to restore habitat, provide products, prevent floods.
- Establish ways to meet and make decisions that are inclusive, informed and empowering.
- Investigate and develop renewable energy for local benefit and to replace fossil fuels.
- Collect tools, equipment and materials, plans and communication channels in case of supply breakdown, flooding or other emergency.

Recently acquired land and are setting up the first Farm Start project in Wales, have funding for 2024 to engage local community in our community gardens and provide a route to market for small local producers... along with many other projects!

What events and activities do you have planned for the day?:

There will be nature based, bushcraft and mindfulness activities run by BlueGreenCymru, we will be celebrating 'National Children's Gardening Week' with the local school children, a nature treasure trail to get to know the site, Caffi'r Ffynnon serving hot drinks and cakes and possibly a plant swap.

Will you be open on the day?:

Have a Grow at our Community Cwtch at Fruit & Nut on Saturday the 1st June 2024. We hold our volunteer day at this community forest garden in Cilgerran the first Saturday of every month from 11am to 3pm.
