Sorbus Learning CIC - Brockham Community Garden
We are a small not-for-profit community interest company that plans, funds and leads land-based projects (e.g. building community gardens), provides outdoor learning activities and shares information and ideas about ecology, conservation and wildlife gardening. We help local communities, groups and individuals to make changes to their lives and local environment by connecting them to nature so that they can improve their physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing.
The school is located on the road that runs behind the church located on the village green.
We have just built a community garden at North Downs Primary School in Brockham and we will be holding an open garden event to show local residents the new green space and explain it's future use for therapeutic gardening, growing plants and making space for nature. We will show visitors around the garden, will have a static display area about the project and are inviting the local community Hope Nursery and other community groups to have a display tent in the playground next to the garden.
