'Have A Grow Day' is a community gardens open day, celebrated across the UK

Previously, over 30 gardens in Wales took part in the first 'Have A Grow Day' and it has grown in popularity ever since, we are so pleased to say that it will be happening again on Saturday 5th June 2021!

The day is a way of promoting and celebrating the work of community growing groups who help transform lives and neighbourhoods all over the UK. It's also a chance to raise some money through donations from visitors/ virtual visitors and even finding some new volunteers! Whether you’re involved as a visitor/ virtual visitor, volunteer or staff member, the idea is to spread the word and promote your local community garden or allotment, school garden, farm or community supported agriculture scheme.

We’d like to get as many Social Farms & Gardens members across the UK as possible to take part in Have A Grow Day, and help you reach out to your local community, whether it be virtually or otherwise. Why not throw open your virtual gates to celebrate your fantastic work.

Our FREE Have A Grow Day resource pack will soon be available to download, as well as more ideas and top tips to help you run a successful event coming soon.

If you’re not yet a member, join us here – it’s free!

Tyfu Cymunedau

Ymuno â’r Ffederasiwn yw’r peth gorau a wnaethom. Maen nhw wedi ein helpu ni gyda’n cyfansoddiad ac wedi rhoi cyngor i ni ar statws elusennol. Mae bod yn rhan o rwydwaith eang wedi rhoi hygrededd i ni.

Tyfu Pobl

Mae wedi bod yn bleser mawr gwylio’r Ffederasiwn yn datblygu i fod yn fuddiol iawn yn y blynyddoedd diwethaf, uwchlaw popeth, o ran datblygu polisi cenedlaethol. Gobeithiaf y bydd hyn yn para dros y 30 mlynedd nesaf gan, yn fy marn i, nid oes unrhyw amheuaeth y bydd ei waith yn dod yn fwyfwy pwysig.
