The object of the group is to stimulate interest in and to encourage a commitment towards horticulture in allotments and gardens, to promote new allotment gardens; and to educate/advocate the benefits of environmentally sustainable gardening. To promote by whatever means agreed by the membership, support for the plot holders and opportunities for the public to learn about allotments and their cultivation. Foster good relations with residential neighbours and local statutory and non-statutory bodies. To advance a retail, educational and health facility for the community and visitors by establishing community led horticultural activities, including and not restricted to allotments, orchard, health benefiting gardens, exercise trails, art installations.
