Shaftesbury Homegrown is a community project to grow fruit and vegetables as sustainably and organically as possible. It is managed entirely by volunteers who join work parties three days a week. We share the produce for which we pay an amount dependent on the number of hours we work and any surplus is sold to the general public. We also have hens and buy eggs for a discounted amount, selling the surplus. The money raised from any sales is used to buy organic chicken food, equipment and seeds.
