The Allesley Park Walled Garden Group is a voluntary group running Allesley Park Walled Garden as a community garden and an educational resource. Activities include: gardening sessions on Saturday mornings and several days during the week in the season; research into what would be put into gardens and eighteenth century recipes for fruit and vegetables; outings to other similar gardens, nurseries etc.; The group also give talks. There is a garden market on the third Saturday of every month (May to October) selling vegetables, homemade cakes and preserves etc. Children's activities on every market day. About to embark on a vision for the whole walled garden that will include an heritage orchard, rose garden and multi-purpose building that will serve as a base for garden trainign sessions, an interpretative centre for the garden and shelter and mess-room for gardeners.
