We provide Day Services for adults with learning disabilities and mental health conditions who help with looking after a selection of small animals including chickens, goats, ducks, pigs and a Shetland pony. We are based on a working dairy farm and individuals also get involved in feeding and cleaning out the calves.

The individuals we support get involved in all aspects of care from feeding, cleaning and even hatching ducklings and chicks from fertilised eggs. We sell our eggs at the farm gate and all proceeds go back to the individuals who attend the services to help fund day trips and activities. We also have a sensory garden and nature trail which we have opened up to local pre-schools and are currently working with a local forest school.

Our plan is to offer a package to local primary schools to use our nature trail. The individuals that attend day services are actively involved in maintaining the trail and creating new habitats to encourage the wildlife. Activities also include gardening, making jams and chutneys with the produce, cooking, arts & crafts and woodwork - we often make things that are linked to nature and our local environment such as bird boxes and feeders, planters and items for the sensory garden.
