Dementia Adventure is a national charity that thinks differently about dementia. We know that with the right support, people with dementia can continue to get outdoors, connect with nature and their community and retain a sense of adventure in their lives. We look at what people can do, not what they can’t, so that more people can access nature starting from ‘mini adventures’ on their doorstep.
We work with partners to set up outdoor programmes or make what they do more inclusive. We also offer supported holidays, training for family, friends supporting somebody with dementia as well as professionals and organisations. We also run a small grant- funded allotment project for people living with dementia near Great Dunmow, Essex. Visit www.dementiaadventure.org for more information.
